Hi, I'm Micheal.
I started dabbling in programming back in 2013, making games in Lua,
I was using the Corona SDK
( Zombie-Legends )
.
I didn't get too far past the tutorial stage at this time.
Fast Forward to 2017, Crypto markets were getting hot, I was actively
studying them, trying to pick the next big ICO to go to the moon,
I started writing articles for a trading channel about the latest
ones, that led me into reading a lot of White-Papers.
I still wanted to know more, I wanted to know how they ticked, and
where development was really at.
I would get onto GitHub and try to read Smart Contracts in Solidity.
That was really difficult. Then I found out a guy I went to High School
was a Developer in the Blockchain space, I immediately reached out and asked
to join his team, I said give me project and just see how far I go, then
make your decision. Through that I learned Solidity, JavaScript,
React + redux, mysql.
At this time I was a Natural Gas Plant operator who enjoyed programming on
the side. Then, I found someone at my company who needed a
better application than Excel to look up records.
I knew how to do this, I created the database, the ui, the webservice/api,
it had version control on github with documentation, everything worked.
That's when I got the opportunity to show it to the Director of Software
Solutions, he hired me right away. It was a really good time in my life.
Working with Enlink as a Developer has taught me a ton, I've worked closely
with project managers to achieve very efficient app development.
My primary duties have been maintaining old AngularJS apps,
creating new Angular apps, building databases as well as web services with .net.
Right now, I'm a developer who enjoys programming on the side on the Open Source
blockchain project
Shift.
